A woman and her husband moved into an old house. When she took down the wallpaper, she found a door hidden by bricks. What did she find behind it?

She was a young woman who had just married the man she loved. Sam was his name, and they dated for five years before getting married.

When they got back from their honeymoon, they began looking for a house where they could start a family. Magra had a long list of important things that would help her decide if the house was right.

Some of them wrote down how far it would be from not only their workplaces but also the school their children would be attending.

When Magna and Sam’s real estate agent showed them a Victorian-style home that met all of their needs, they quickly paid for it and signed the papers.

However, they did not know that the house was not like other homes. Quickly after getting married, the new couple found out what the secret was.

It was fate that Magra saw the wallpaper that covered most of the house. She had been stressing out for weeks about how to decorate the house since they moved in.

It wasn’t something she liked, so she got rid of it and bought new ones that would match the furniture she had ordered.

She had just torn off some wallpaper from one part of the house that day when she saw that it was covering a brick wall. The house was made of strong wood, so the walls should have been strong too. That seemed out of place.

She asked her husband, “Sam?” that day. “Come see this.”

When he got to her, he asked, “What is it?”

She looked at the brick wall and said, “Look at this.” “These bricks make up this part of the walls. Is that even possible?”

“It shouldn’t be,” said Sam. “The bricks may have been used to conceal something, see if it’s in the shape of a door.”

“You’re right,” Magra said with a laugh. “Wanna see what’s behind it?”

“Of course,” Sam said, his brown eyes shining.

After dark that day, they took down the brick wall and saw that there was a door behind it. The door opened into a room that looked like it was taken from a movie from hundreds of years ago. Sam and Magra didn’t know what to think about it, so they went to see the real estate agent who sold them the house.

If they asked him about the history of the place, he told them that the house used to belong to a wealthy family with a sad tale.

Their head of the family was John, and his wife was Mary. They had two boys together, Josh and Abel, who both became soldiers.

They were called to war one day. When an enemy ambush split them up from their squad, they had a horrible time on the battlefield.

They snuck around the war zone for hours until they found an old, broken-down house that they could use as a shelter. When they got close to it, they were shocked to see little kids hiding inside.

“What are you doing here kids?” Abel asked them.

“We live here,” said the oldest. “We’re from an orphanage but it was burned down during the war so we decided to take refuge here.”

“Where are all the adults?” Cain asked.

“There are no adults here, sir,” the oldest child said.

Even as they talked, they could hear soldiers walking by. They were soldiers of the enemy who heard voices while they were on patrol. The situation quickly turned violent as the soldiers rushed to kill anyone they saw as an enemy, even the orphans.

It was gunfire, so Abel and Josh rushed the kids into the building. But as soon as they did, a grenade rolled through the window and into the room where they were.

Josh quickly backed away to try to avoid the blast, but Abel dove at the kids and covered them with his big body, taking the brunt of the blast.

The kids and Abel made it through the night, but Josh was nowhere to be found. Abel had to be treated for a long time, but when he got better, he was given medals for being brave.

He told his parents when he got home that Josh had left him on the battlefield while he was running for his life. Even though his parents were shocked by what he said, they hoped that he would come back, so they didn’t clean his room.

Josh didn’t come back to the family, and right before they died, the previous owners of the house blocked off Josh’s room with bricks to keep it safe.

They died and left the house to Abel. He never went into his brother’s room either. He lived alone in the house until he died.

“That’s why the house has been on the market for so long.” “This was the kind of place that no one wanted to work with,” the real estate agent said.

Sam and Magra were sad when they got back to the house. So they could move on, they cleaned out the room because they were sad about what had happened.

A book was on the table, which Magra saw as they cleaned. The pages were yellow and made it look old and worn.

It turned out that the book was Abel’s diary with an answer to his guilt. It looks like what people thought happened the night he and Josh found the orphanage was not true.

Also, Josh wasn’t his real brother; his parents adopted him when they were having trouble having a baby. Abel and Josh grew up together, but Abel was always envious of how much attention his parents gave to Josh.

Soldiers attacked them that night. Josh saved everyone by putting his body over the grenade, but Abel lied to everyone because he didn’t want them to love his brother more than they loved him.

He felt bad about what he did afterward, and his guilt hurt him a lot. To get rid of his guilt, he wrote the diary and left it in his brother’s old room.

“I hope heaven accepts me; I would very much like to see my brother again,” Abel said to end his story.

After giving it a lot of thought, Magra and Sam chose to make the room into a museum to honor Josh, who died a hero.

Having envy is a bad feeling. Abel did what he did because he wanted his brother to have the love their parents gave him, even though their parents didn’t have a favorite child. Because he was jealous, he called his brother a traitor in front of their parents, which hurt them and broke their view of Josh. It would have been better to tell the truth.
