Gabriella Laberge Captivates Judges at America’s Got Talent

America’s Got Talent, a stage known for uncovering incredible talent, recently had the pleasure of hosting a remarkable performer, Gabriella Laberge. Many who follow music competitions might recognize Gabriella from her earlier participation in France’s Destination Eurovision.

Back in 2019, this talented French-Canadian singer stood out in the competition scene, leaving an impression with her unique musical flair.

An Audition to Remember

Before stepping onto the renowned AGT stage, Gabriella shared a glimpse into her aspirations. “This is the opportunity of my life,” she expressed, “to chase my biggest dream, which is doing music for the rest of my life.” With a violin in hand and hope in her heart, she took her place under the theater lights.

As Gabriella began her performance, a delicate violin solo filled the room. Famous faces like Heidi Klum, Howie Mandell, and Sofia Vergara watched in admiration. Yet, one could sense the anticipation more from Simon Cowell, whose hand lingered close to the buzzer, ready to cut the audition short if he lost interest.

Suddenly, Gabriella added a surprising twist to her performance. Her voice, soothing and powerful, carried the notes of a fresh rendition of James Blunt’s “Goodbye, My Lover.” It was at that moment Simon’s hand withdrew from the buzzer, and captivated attention turned into applause.

The audience rose to their feet, along with the judges, celebrating her “angelic” voice. Clearly moved, the panelists quickly secured her spot for the next round.

The Road Ahead

The anticipation for Gabriella’s future on AGT builds, as she was part of the final audition episode. While over 150 acts received positive votes, only a select 36 will move on to the live shows. With the series taking a pause for the Olympics, viewers eagerly await the revelation of which acts will continue their journey.

Gabriella’s Eurovision Journey

In the context of music competitions, Gabriella Laberge’s name is one to remember from 2019. Among 18 contenders, she took part in France’s Destination Eurovision. Her song “On cherche encore (Never Get Enough)” became a favorite among fans, though unfortunately, she didn’t progress beyond the semi-finals. Bilal Hassani emerged victorious with the song “Roi.”
