A 15-year-old Amish boy and his father took their first trip to the big city

A 15-year-old Amish boy and his father took their first trip to the big city. They wandered around in awe, marveling at the towering buildings, flashing lights, and all the strange new things they’d never seen before.

Eventually, they found themselves in a shopping mall. But one thing caught their attention more than anything else—two shiny, silver doors that moved apart and then slid back together.

“What is this, Father?” the boy asked.

His father, never having seen an elevator before, shook his head. “Son, I have no idea.”

As they stood watching, an elderly woman in a wheelchair rolled up and pressed a button. The shiny doors opened, and she wheeled herself into a small room. The doors closed, and above them, little numbers started lighting up in sequence.

The father and son stared in amazement as the numbers reached the top, then began lighting up in reverse order. A moment later, the doors slid open again… and out stepped a stunning 24-year-old blonde woman.

Without taking his eyes off her, the father leaned over and whispered, “Junior… go get your mother.”
