A priest, a doctor, and an engineer

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting impatiently behind a painfully slow group of golfers.

Engineer: What is up with these guys?! We’ve been waiting for 25 minutes!

Doctor: I know, right? I’ve never seen such a terrible group of golfers!

Just then, the priest spotted the greenskeeper and waved him over.

Priest: Hey, George! What’s the deal with the group ahead of us? They’re moving at a snail’s pace!

Greenskeeper: Oh, that’s a group of blind firefighters. They lost their sight while saving our clubhouse last year, so we let them play here for free anytime.

(Silence.)

Priest: That’s heartbreaking. I’ll say a special prayer for them tonight.

Doctor: Good idea. I’ll reach out to my ophthalmologist friend—maybe there’s something he can do to help.

Engineer: …Why can’t they just play at night?
