Family of Liam Payne of One Direction Speaks Out After His Death at 31

The family of Liam Payne has spoken out for the first time since his death, sharing a very personal message about their grief.

A heartfelt statement was released by Liam Payne’s family after the singer’s untimely death at the age of 31.

In their message, they talked about how sad they were and how great of a man he was. “Our hearts are broken.” Friends and family said, “Liam will always be in our hearts. We’ll remember him for being kind, funny, and brave.”

Payne’s family and friends also stressed how important privacy is during this hard time. “We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time,” it said.

Liam grew up in Wolverhampton with his nurse mother Karen and fitter father Geoff. In 2020, on Father’s Day, he wrote a touching tribute to his dad because they were very close.

“To my dad on Father’s Day! And to all the dads out there, including the ones who aren’t with us anymore. In the past few years, this day has become even more important to me than it was before. I’m grateful for everything you’ve done for me. Thanks for raising me right. “x,” Liam wrote.

Liam was the youngest of three children. Nicola Payne and Ruth Gibbins were his two older sisters. Cheryl Tweedy, a singer with Girls Aloud, and the singer had a son together, named Bear. After being together in the public eye from 2016 to 2018, they had a son in 2017.

After Liam’s untimely death, his close friend Jodie Richards thought about how many people were there for him. She told him that his parents and two sisters were very supportive, and she said nice things about Cheryl. She also said he had a girlfriend and a group of people he could talk to if he needed to.

Jodie taught Liam at her Wolverhampton performing arts company, Pink Productions. She told Sky News about the sad last moments they spent together, just hours before he died.

At first, she thought the news that he had died after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires was “fake.” She tried to call him on Wednesday night because she couldn’t believe it.

Liam texted Jodie on Monday to see how she was doing and to check in. The woman told him that she was at the gym with her son Jackson. Liam said, “Nice.” He later sent her a picture of himself in Argentina, sitting on his hotel bed.

Jodie told him that she was very close with Liam and that they had been friends for a long time. She told him that she thought he was calling to see how she was doing and how everyone was back home since he was in Argentina at the time.

“He seemed fine, he looked happy, he looked healthy – no reason for any kind of concern and then obviously I heard it on the news,” the 41-year-old said.

She thought it was fake at first and tried to call Liam, but he didn’t answer. It was strange for him that when she sent him a text, it didn’t show as read. The news seemed more and more likely to be true as she watched TV.

On October 16, 2024, Liam Payne fell from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires and died. The cause of his death has since been revealed by the doctors who treated him at the scene.

Payne died right away after he fell because he was hurt so badly, including breaking his skull. It was very bad for him, so Alberto Crescenti said that his team got to the scene as quickly as possible to try to help him and bring him back to life, but they were too late.

“Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death,” he said.

Crescenti confirmed that Liam Payne had fallen into the hotel’s patio, but he didn’t say anything about the claims that he might have been drunk or high. He stressed that the autopsy results were still being waited for by the authorities and told them not to jump to conclusions too soon.

On October 17, 2024, pathologists in Buenos Aires will do a post-mortem to start answering questions about the singer’s untimely death. Other tests will look for signs of drug or alcohol use before the event at the CasaSur Palermo hotel.

Officials haven’t said when the test results will be available, but news reports in the area say it could be anywhere from 10 to 15 days. Andrés Esteban Madrea is the name of the prosecutor who is in charge of the investigation into Payne’s death.

If it turns out that drugs were found in the singer’s hotel room and played a part in his death, police will probably look into who gave them to them, and that person could be charged later.
