This boy was only 13 years old when he lost his star mom in a sudden crash. Years later, he took her last name, even though it was his dad’s.
There was a connection between two stars, but it wasn’t the right time because one was still married. Even though things went wrong at first, their relationship grew into a beautiful relationship that lasted 15 years until tragedy struck. They raised two kids together, and one of them would later do something powerful to honor their mom.
One famous actor had to become a single parent after his wife died suddenly. He got through being a parent well, despite his initial worries.

The kids had to grow up fast, and even though their dad had doubts, fears, and worries at first, they turned into adults that their parents would be proud of. Following in the footsteps of their parents, the kids wanted to become actors.
In 1993, when they were both in “Anna Christie” on Broadway, these two stars crossed paths and fell in love. It didn’t matter that she was married at the time; they still fell in love.
The actor from “Taken” said they had a powerful chemistry that he had never felt before. People loved their show so much because of how well they got along that they were nominated for a Tony.
At that time, her marriage ended, and she couldn’t help but fall in love, even though it was the wrong time. Even though he was known for being a ladies’ man, it didn’t bother her. She stated, “I’m pleased that women fall in love with him because I know why.”

He sent her a card on her 30th birthday while he was working on “Schindler’s List.” She didn’t think the card was romantic, so she asked him about their relationship. The way she answered him made him realize he loved her.
Soon after, in the summer of 1994, they got married on a farm in upstate New York. The couple had their first son in 1995, and then their second son 18 months later. Life moved quickly for them.
The actress chose to take ski lessons at a cabin in Québec, Canada, on March 16, 2009. Around noon, she fell off the hill while on it with a teacher. It happened near the bottom of a trail for beginners.
She hit her head on the still-hard snow when she fell. The actress from “The Parent Trap” didn’t think much of it, but her teacher was worried and asked the ski patrol for a second opinion.

The ski patrol called for an ambulance, but she said she was fine and signed a form saying she didn’t want medical help. When she called her husband to tell him about the accident, she made fun of it.
In no time, her anxiety level rose. The woman had a headache and looked like she was lost. They called for an ambulance again, and it took her to a hospital nearby.
With oxygen, her vital signs got better for a short time, and she could breathe better, but she was still confused. The hospital sent her by ambulance to a trauma center in Montréal because they thought the situation might be worse than they thought.

When her husband heard the scary news about his wife, he ran from the movie set to the hospital right away. But when he got there, the staff didn’t know who he was and wouldn’t let him past the emergency room.
He felt bad, so the nurse let him leave through a back door. The actor came home to find his wife on life support. The doctors told him she was brain dead. He thought back to how they had agreed to end things if one of them became vegetative.
That’s why he told her one last time how much he loved her and that she would not get better from the injury. He also said he would take her back to New York so that her family and friends could say their last goodbyes before the life support was turned off. She died and left behind two young sons.

Her children are now good adults, more than ten years after their mother died in a terrible accident. Micheál, their oldest son, was born on June 22, 1995. Like his parents, he made his movie debut in 2013 with “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”
After that, he was in “Vox Lux,” “Big Dogs,” “Broken Symphony,” and “Paradise.” Micheál and his father both had parts in the movies “Cold Pursuit” (2019) and “Made in Italy” (2020).
Michael Redgrave, Micheál’s maternal grandfather and an Oscar winner for “Mourning Becomes Electra” in 1947, based on an O’Neill play, was part of the reason for the name. Kirk Douglas, Rosalind Russell, Raymond Massey, and Leo Genn were some of the other stars in the movie.

Because Liam Neeson is Irish and Catholic and played Irish revolutionary leader Michael Collins in a 1996 biopic, they chose the Irish form, which is pronounced “Meehall.” They raised their sons in New York, and for a movie, Micheál had to learn to speak with an English accent.
Micheál and his younger brother Daniel were immersed in the entertainment world. They saw their mom perform as Sally Bowles in Cabaret and saw their dad perform in “The Crucible.” Micheál changed his last name from Neeson to Richardson in 2018 to honor Natasha Richardson, his late mother.

“It was mostly a tribute to my mother and a way to carry her with me,” he said. The fact that I carry her last name into this field definitely inspires and comforts me.
Liam agreed with his son’s choice and was proud of him for it. Besides that, he didn’t want people to always ask his son about their relationship. The actor from “Memory” said, “It was a lovely gesture.” He thought his son did the right thing. It meant a lot to Natasha’s mother and sisters. I’m pleased with it.
Vanessa Redgraves, Micheál’s famous maternal grandmother, also agreed with his choice. She said that she didn’t mind her grandson choosing that name because it was fine, even though it was customary to have the man’s name.

In 2015, Micheál thought about how family and friends had helped him feel better after his mother died. He said he lost his way while living in New York and that partying helped him deal with the loss of his mother. Bono, the lead singer of U2, had been through a similar loss and told Micheál about it. This gave Micheál a lot of insight and understanding.
Micheál found strength in his grandmother Vanessa, even though it hurt to lose his mother when he was 13. He turned to her as a motherly figure and a supportive confidante. She helped him get through the hard time and listened to his worries.
Micheál talked about how sudden and accidental it was that he lost his mother, which made him feel a lot of different emotions. To deal with the loss, he told them to hold on to happy memories of her, like hearing her laugh and spending time with her. Over time, he and his younger brother learned to find little ways to remember their mother.

Micheál remembered how great his mother was and wished he could talk to her now that he was older. “As a kid, I was a mama’s boy, and she was my best friend,” he said. Even though we were all close, Danny was my dad’s boy and I was my mom’s boy.
Micheál said in an interview in June 2020 that he was still having a hard time accepting that his mom had died, even though he was an adult. “Every day I think of her…I’m still in tears over it…His words, “I still don’t think I fully understand it,” were clear.
The second child of Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson
Daniel was born on August 27, 1996. He is their second son. Unlike his father and brother, he studied acting and digital media, but he mostly worked in film production behind the scenes.

Daniel never thought he would be a fashion designer, but in 2016 he started his own line of eco-friendly clothes called “Pine Outfitters.” Because he was very athletic and loved sports, his dream jobs were always to play hockey or work as an entertainment producer. His clothing line, on the other hand, promised to make stylish clothes.
Daniel is also happy that he doesn’t have to do anything with his family. In 2016, he also started a second business called “Willowglen Landscaping.” Since 2018, he has been the president and co-founder of “De-Nada Tequila.”
Daniel chose to keep the name Neeson, which was his dad’s. He remembered how his mother, who was one of his biggest inspirations, always told him to do what he loved. He said, “She always said, ‘Don’t ever feel like you have to be pushed down a tunnel to fit in.'” No matter what you want to do, give it your all and do it well.

As a single dad, Liam worried about his teenage sons, and one of those worries was that they might become addicted to drugs. He remembered that even though he had taught them the right values, he was worried as they flexed their muscles and did experiments.

He wished his wife was there so they could talk about their worries. Liam was also glad that his sons were used to him being gone for long periods of time. One of them was even born while he was away.

But he was also thankful for the great people in his life who helped him balance work and being a dad. The actor also said that becoming a dad helped him grow as a person. He stated, “They really do help, in all sorts of quiet, subtle ways.”

He said that being a father sometimes made him feel helpless. Besides that, Neeson said that his sons rarely came home on time, but he got used to it over time.
