One Direction star Liam Payne’s cause of death has been revealed.
Alberto Crescenti, the head of emergency services in Buenos Aires, said that doctors were unable to save the former One Direction singer because of his serious injuries.
On October 16, 2024, Liam Payne fell from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires and died. The cause of his death has been revealed by the doctors who treated him at the scene.
Payne died right away after he fell because he was hurt so badly, including breaking his skull. It was very bad for him, so Alberto Crescenti said that his team got to the scene as quickly as possible to try to help him and bring him back to life, but they were too late.

“Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death,” he said.
Crescenti confirmed that Liam Payne had fallen into the hotel’s patio, but he didn’t say anything about the claims that he might have been drunk or high. He stressed that the autopsy results were still being waited for by the authorities and told them not to jump to conclusions too soon.
Payne shared a Snapchat picture of himself and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, looking into a mirror just minutes before he died.
His body was taken away at 8:38 p.m. local time, after having been there for more than three hours after he died. Last night (October 16), he was taken to a city morgue on Viamonte Street, which is about a 15-minute drive southwest of the boutique hotel.
On October 17, 2024, pathologists in Buenos Aires will do a post-mortem to start answering questions about the singer’s untimely death. Other tests will look for signs of drug or alcohol use before the event at the CasaSur Palermo hotel.
Officials haven’t said when the test results will be available, but news reports in the area say it could be anywhere from 10 to 15 days. Andrés Esteban Madrea is the name of the prosecutor who is in charge of the investigation into Payne’s death.

If it turns out that drugs were found in the singer’s hotel room and played a part in his death, police will probably look into who gave them to them, and that person could be charged later.
Several Argentine newspapers have published pictures from inside Payne’s deluxe suite, but many details are still not clear. There was a burned soda can, what looked like cocaine traces, and pieces of aluminum foil on the desk, as seen in the pictures. An aluminum foil piece that had been burned and crumpled up was also found in the bathroom. The TV screen in the room was broken.
More details about the terrible night have come to light, including the content of a disturbing 911 call made by a scared hotel manager asking for help right away before Payne’s death.
On October 16, 2024, Argentine police were called to the hotel because staff were worried about a man who was acting violently and might have been drunk or high.

The front desk manager called twice. The first time, he said that a guest was badly damaging his room. After a break in the call, he said, “We need to send someone right away because I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger because he is in a room with a balcony, and we’re afraid he could do something that could put lives in danger.”
After hearing about Payne’s sad death, famous people like Charlie Puth and Paris Hilton wrote sad posts about him on social media. Their hearts are broken by his death, and they have sent their condolences to his family.
A lot of upset fans have gathered at the hotel, and many of them were crying as they lit candles and put things they loved on a makeshift shrine. Some upset One Direction fans started singing the sad song “If I Could Fly,” which has the touching line “If I could fly, I’d be coming right back home to you.”
Handwritten messages from fans in both Spanish and English have been stuck on a tree outside of the Hotel CasaSur Palermo. Fans have also left flowers and candles at the base of the tree.

Police say Payne was staying at the 4-star hotel in the Latin American country when the fatal fall happened. As we already said, the man acting strangely, possibly because he was drunk, prompted the call to emergency services at the hotel, according to Crescenti.
Crescenti told the local news station TN that the singer died after falling from a height of 42 to 45 feet (13 to 14 meters). He said the singer’s injuries were “very serious” and “incompatible with life.”
People who saw what happened told TMZ that Payne was acting strangely in the hotel lobby earlier in the day. There were rumors before the incident that he had broken his laptop and needed help getting back to his room.
Several hotel guests confirmed that they saw the singer fall off the third-floor balcony just after 5 p.m., but it’s still not clear if it was an accident or on purpose.

As soon as the police arrived, they set up a red tent over the scene to start their investigation. Crescenti said that emergency services got there at 5:11 p.m., just a few minutes after the call went through. Sadly, there was no way to save Payne, and his identity wasn’t known until after he was pronounced dead.
Early in the month, Payne went to Argentina to see Niall Horan, a former bandmate of his in One Direction, who was there for a concert. The 31-year-old singer was a key member of the globally popular boy band. He joined the group when he was 16 and helped them get their start on “The X Factor.” Before breaking up in 2015, they were famous all over the world.

Payne’s son Bear, whom he had with singer Cheryl Cole, lives on. In November 2016, the couple announced that they were going to have their first child, a boy named Bear.
In an interview in 2018, Payne talked about the good and bad things about being a dad. “I always wanted to be a young dad, but I didn’t really expect that I’d ever be in this place,” he said.

The singer also made fun of himself by calling himself “Dada Montana” because he was both a musician and a parent. We pray for his family and all of his fans.
